I’m No More A Little Girl

By Tamanna Gangil(IX A):

From the first breathe
Till eyes close at death
You are the one constant love
That I shall always place above

Above acceptance, above rejection
There was always your affection
The comfort that didn’t need reasons
The love had bloomed in all seasons

I might have grown up,
Finally not breaking cups
I might have forgotten to express
But in this whir of disturbed sleep
Your lap grants the calmness

I’m no more a little girl
I’m no more careless one,
But it’s still hard for us dull stars,
To achieve the shine of your bright suns.
